Purple YAM Fries

Raise your hands , if your kids are in the group who doesn't like vegetables and like only junk foods especially POTATO FRIES . I'm one among you . French fries are deep fried in oil, they are very high in fat and calories, which can pose a number of serious health risks if consumed regularly. French fries also contain a lot of salt and acrylamide, leading to weight gain and obesity.

Then I thought to replace something which is more healthy but something similar to fries to fullfill my son's craving for cripsy fries . I found this PURPLE FRIES or YAM FRIES .

GOODNESS OF YAM

Potassium, Phosphorous and Magnesium are the key minerals found in elephant yam. It also contains trace minerals like zinc, copper and selenium.

YAM has omega-3 fatty acids . It is also high on vitamin B6 content. It also contains Vitamin C and Vitamin A.

  • Add little water and mix it well.

  • Keep it inside the refrigerator for about 15-20 mins.

  • Now take a fry pan or a shallow pan and add oil into it and heat it
